She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

Hey guys! It’s Yasmim. Today I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind lately. Sometimes we may not understand the Lord’s purpose for our lives. We may believe we aren’t good enough, that we aren’t capable of fulfilling this bigger plan. We may say “oh Jesus, how could I, a young nobody living in the middle of nowhere, change the world? How could I preach amongst many, or even come up to a stranger in the middle of a store and start praying with them?” This doubt is what often keeps us from receiving from Christ. We may be going to an amazing church, with an amazing youth group, pastors, worship team etc., but still feel empty. We may not even realize that our doubt is the problem. That our very own weak faith is what’s keeping us from this blessing and fulfillment. It’s easy to fall victim to these negative thoughts when your still trying to figure out what God has called you for, but in order for you to have this revelation, you must have faith in the Lord and his ways. We have to give every part of ourselves to him, and allow him to take control. We must leave all the fear and doubt behind, and just let go. In the Bible, there is a story about a women who poured her most valuable perfume on Jesus. Many were shocked, they thought it was a complete waste. However, according to Mark 14:8-9, Jesus responded to them by saying “ She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” This women didn’t at all hesitate, she had no doubts. She chose to give all that she had to Jesus, for she knew that just by having him, she had everything. She showed Jesus that she was ready to be used by him , and that she was ready to imerge in those deeper waters. This story really inspired me, and I learned that I should never think twice when the Lord asks something of me, and that I should just do it. This has allowed me to fully open up and truly find what the Lord has called me for. I hope it can inspire you too 💗💗
