The Lord is close to the brokenhearted

and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

hii , gabi here again !! so the verse i wanted to point to today is psalms 34:18 . everybody struggles sometimes , whether it’s mental health or maybe you’re going thru a breakup or a loss or whatever the situation may be , everybody goes through tough times . although it’s so easy to think that God only wants us when we’re the “perfect “ image of a christian , and it’s easy to feel far away from Him in the middle of our struggles, it’s important to remind ourselves that God wants to meet us in the middle of our brokenness. He doesn’t just want us to seek Him when we’re happy or when things are going well , He wants us to turn to Him when times are hard too , He wants to break down these walls that we put up when we’re hurt . He’s a loving father and is ready to help you and heal you from the inside out , if you let him in . one of my favorite songs is broken prayers by riley clemmons , and it says “You want my tears,

every messy word

Every scar and every fear

You want all I have

With no holding back

When I'm hurt, at my worst

You meet me there

'Cause you see the beauty

In my broken prayers “ and I think that’s the most beautiful representation of this verse . so if you’re going through a rough time right now , i really urge you to turn to God about it , he’s ready to listen .
